Kimberly Lorjuste
CO-FOUNDER & MANAGING DIRECTOR, BUILT TO WIN /
CHIEF KINKEEPER, ALLEYOOP GIRLS COLLECTIVE
Nurturer, the word most often used to describe Kimberly Lorjuste. A natural relationship-builder, she’s known for bringing “one too many” into her ever-growing circle. From childhood, Kimberly understood the power of a strong support system, a value that deepened during her time in Rider University’s Educational Opportunity Program. There, she saw the life-changing impact of access and community, igniting her passion for uplifting historically excluded populations.
A fierce advocate for women of color and underserved communities, Kimberly is dedicated to creating spaces where marginalized voices are heard, valued, and empowered. After earning her BA in English and Philosophy from Rider University and her MA in College Student Personnel Administration from Seton Hall University, she devoted her career to higher education—holding student-facing roles at several institutions, including Passaic County Community College, The George Washington University, and American University, where she now serves as Undergraduate Academic Advisor.

Kimberly lives by the belief that “you can’t be your best self by yourself,” a mantra lovingly adopted from her church family. She’s come to understand that a sense of belonging is not just a want—it is a fundamental human need, and the heartbeat of any thriving community. Through her work with Built to Win, LLC, as well as initiatives like the alleyoop girls collective, and EmpowerHer EmpowerMe Summit, she continues to build community, amplify voices, and inspire change.
A faith-filled believer, loving wife, and proud mom of two, Kimberly brings joy and authenticity to everything she does. She’s a Marvel enthusiast, avid baker, and the kind of person whose laugh fills the room—and invites others to feel right at home.
