OUR FOCUS
to create a sacred space where women can fully embrace who they are and boldly step into who they are becoming. we exist to cultivate a sisterhood rooted in faith, growth, and purpose—where women uplift one another, co-create opportunities, and journey together toward impact, excellence, and destiny.

a message from the chief kinkeeper
kimberly lorjuste
what's in a name? in basketball, an alley-oop is a play where one teammate passes the ball near the basket, setting up another to leap, catch it mid-air, and score. it's a moment built on trust, timing, and teamwork. that is the heart of aog.

we are a collective of kinkeepers—women who intentionally nurture relationships and growth partnerships to uplift one another. our mission is simple yet powerful: to position each other for success, just like an alley-oop. we believe every woman deserves to be positioned for purpose, and subsequently supported, seen, and celebrated as she rises.

welcome to the alleyoop girls collective.

THE PLAYBOOK
we stand on the foundation of three biblical truths: we were created to live and thrive in community; we are called to seek wise counsel; our gifts were never meant for isolation, but to serve others. and so, through intentional connection and God-centered purpose, we rise, not just individually, but collectively. this is a space where we don’t have to climb alone. here, we pass the vision, we lift in love, and we finish the play—together.
Our Annual
THE TIPOFF
this month's read is "well-read black girl" by glory edim. this powerful anthology celebrates the voices, experiences, and literary legacy of black women writers. born from edim’s popular book club and online community, the collection features personal essays from acclaimed authors like jesmyn ward, tayari jones, and rebecca walker, each reflecting on how they first saw themselves in literature.
through themes of identity, sisterhood, and representation, the book explores the transformative power of reading and the importance of black women seeing themselves reflected in the stories they consume. well-read black girl is both a love letter to literature and a rallying cry for greater inclusion in the literary world.

love letter project
the love letter project is a heartfelt self-compassion initiative where we each write a love letter—not to someone else, but to ourselves. we speak gently and kindly to ourselves, offering the same warmth, encouragement, and tenderness we so often give to our friends and family. these messages become love notes of self-affirmation, mailed back to the chief kinkeeper and tucked away until they return to us at a later, unknown time—arriving just when we seem to need them most. like a whispered reminder from our past selves, they offer timely strength, gentle reassurance, and the quiet reminder that we are deeply worthy of our own love.

“writing my love letter caused me to do a lot of reflecting that i did not realize i needed. it also allowed me to review the honest growth that i have achieved and am looking forward to continuing in the near future. i am grateful for moments like this that help to empower me to keep going.”

- nijiera addison, pt, dpt
"the love letter project provided me with an intentional moment of self reflection. it gave me the power to own both my successes and failures. so often in life i tend to “press on” not allowing myself the time i need to own what was both right and wrong in my life. a safe space was created via the power of paper and pen. thank you for this project!"
- stephanie jackson, m.ed., bsn, rn
"i thought i would tense up and struggle writing my letter but the total opposite happened! i felt light, i felt ease, and i felt peace. it was exhilarating and freeing at the same time."
- charlene butler
ON THE COURT
